@ 1257 The story of Lokman and the advice he gave his son 31:12-13


31:12 We gave wisdom to Lokman (saying), 'Give thanks to Allah. He who gives thanks, thanks only for himself, but whosoever is ungrateful, surely, Allah is the Rich, the Praised.'
# وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا لُقْمَانَ الحِكْمَةَ أَنِ اشْكُرْ لِلَّهِ وَمَن يَشْكُرْ فَإِنَّمَا يَشْكُرُ لِنَفْسِهِ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ حَمِيدٌ 12
31:13 And when Lokman said to his son, in warning, 'My son, associate none with Allah, to associate others with Allah is a tremendous wrong.'
# وَإِذْ قَالَ لُقْمَانُ لابْنِهِ وَهُوَ يَعِظُهُ يَا بُنَيَّ لاَ تُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّ الشِّرْكَ لَظُلْمٌ عَظِيمٌ 13
